Lululz.. When i ate this, it’s already expired for like a week or so.. Oh ok, then i added some Oedang Sari Kecap Manis which was also expired since may 2013.. Oh my.. Anyway, the taste still turn out great, adding some coriander too.. While the kriuk was soggy.. Oh well.. But the spicy is very nice and i just love it when the kriuk is spinkled with salty soya sauce and eat it before it gets soggy.. But this one was already soggy to begin with.. OTL..

Description:

Finally after so long pause because the crappiness of wordpress and might be the hosting, Porink appeared again before ya all.. Let’s peek into what porink cooked in about a week ago..

Mushroom Risotto

Aw.. Risotto.. While it’s not really Bulgarian, i tend to search one from someone who at least living in Bulgaria.. So the recipe comes from Bulgaria Village blogspot.. Aw.. The owner tend to show so much cherry.. I want cherry.. T_T.. anyway, it’s a rare for me to create something so non so called oily and not that meaty like this one, so we also bought vegetable powder just for this.. And it turned out great~ but eh, the spinach is not really in fresh manner.. ah ye, i tend to give this a feta cheese too since i got so much leftover from making Borek..

Telehko Vareno

Hmm when it appears in the wiki, this soup tend to have reddish appearance, so i thought it’s prolly related to hungarian goulash soup.. but the recipe i got from about give me more about broth and clear soup.. At first, we were planning to use veal meat, but i dont know where i could get something like that, so we bought sirloin in the end.. The moment i cooked it, it gives more fat than the one i used to cook, tenderloin.. But eh, this one tend to be like any other soup i know.. Clear one with potato and carrot..
After making it overnight, it tend to give so much strong taste, prolly because of that fat.. Smokie didnt quiet like it, well me too, but it’s just a little bit strong from my preferable.. I linger if sometimes i could create something like this again, not as strong but prolly almost the same.. The raccoon tend to dislike it.. {:{).. and he doesnt want shank too.. what a shame.. {:{).. Anyway, this recipe wont be that special, prolly i should look for the reddish coloured soup based~

Bulgarian Tikvichka Byurek

mmm at first i thought this one is easy.. and i tried myself.. with lack of zuchini because some turn to be rotten inside when i cut em.. i use feta cheese instead of bryndza which i dont even know of, but bulgarian tend to use white cheese so often, so this feta is prolly the nearest taste i could get.. keeping em together is a bit hard indeed while battering them in flour.. But eh, instead of flour-egg-flour, i prefer to do it egg-flour-egg-flour.. that’s just what i always do anyway.. the result turn not like in the picture, but at least they taste great~ and the feta wasnt leaking~ tried this one with chili sauce, didnt turn out really great, the yoghurt feta is awesome.. <3.. but as always raccoon didnt like it.. {:{) so to make sure of the future's recipe for dipping sauce, i think i'll make half or a quarter of what need to be made from the recipe..

The Night Before B-day in King of the Ducks!

Duck King

Duck King

Oh ye.. Porink is having a bday and Smokie asked where does porink want to go?? Oh ye.. I’m clueless.. but suddenly Duck King popped up on my head since it’s been so long before since the last we go there.. ich.. Duck king is supposed to be one of the nice modern chinese food within the city, and i want to eat that duck sauted with wine and apple again~.. slur..

The problem is.. i really hate going to the place Duck King is.. It’s a mall named “Paris van Java” which look like a run down and nearly falling apart building which have neverfisnished construction very crowded place with lots of baby sitters.. I tend to try the other duck king which is located in Trans Studio Mall, but that one has inferior taste..

Duck king is crowded with people just like usual, and since it’s only 2 of us, we always sit on the same table everytime we come there.. Ughh the table for 2 which is very small, only have around 1×1 m2 are, minus with seasoning kit..

Very crowded indeed

Very crowded indeed

At first, we (I) want to order a crab dishes, since that’s something we’ve never been done before and the duck sauted with wine and apple plus some dim sum of scallops.. WHAT A PITY!! All of my wish list was not available, they dont have crab, but suggesting a lobster meal instead.. very smart indeed since lobster is more expensive.. oh well.. let’s just try the lobster..and then smokie chose a combination of BBQ chicken and Duck with hoisin sauce.. some other side dish would be spring roll, shiu mai, and har gaw.. I dont want to be quiet choosing all the menu, since i afraid smokie may not like some of them.. But prolly next time i’ll try shark fin soup.. hoping it’s available too..

So these are the pics:

Lobster Saus Singapura

Lobster Saus Singapura

This one is kinda nice, a bit soury and have a strong ginger taste.. Anyway, i asked smokie when the other day he said he didnt want me to put scrambled eggs in boiled water, and he just like it in here, so prolly i’ll make one too someday.

Chicken and Duck Combination

Chicken and Duck Combination

Chicken and Duck combination.. well it’s nice, but this is not the best thing they could offer..

Shiu Mai

Har Gaw

Spring Roll

Spring Roll

So i like those dimsums, the hargaw is prolly the best out there, they dont ripped when being picked by chopstick, although they have thicker wonton from the rest.. Haha, someone prolly not noticing that we ate the spring roll before i took the pic..

ChocolatePassion Fruit Soda
these are our drink, like usual the fatty smokie always prefer to just drink choco latte, while i tend to like passion fruit soda.. well they are just so so.. Smokie gave me the cherry.. <3.. i feel like it's odd when they serve cherry in chocolate latte.. ========================================================== Smokie brought me to haagen dasz next as to enjoy my favourite ice cream, yeah that is rum raisin~ [caption id="attachment_4215" align="alignnone" width="150"]Rum Raisin Rum Raisin[/caption]

Ayam Masak Habang

Smokie told me he wants for a change to let me cook our country locality, while saying to show it to Onis, based on random number picker, the number pointed to Kalimantan Tengah.. I dont really get the idea of how differ it is than in our locality province, so i’ll just try.. the chicken, Ayam Masak Habang, or literaly translated as Habang Cooked Chicken makes an example of how important chicken in Indonesia.. But it uses tamarind!! i was kinda have a nightmare regarding tamarind, i just dont know how people could really grind it, even though i use water to make it softer.. In the end, i put it into grinder.. Hohoho.. and it sounded like the grinder plastic just about to break!!.. How hard could it be!! Oh well.. just like any other indonesian too, this one tend to use a lots of vegetable.. i really hoped so it wont become greasy.. I also add leftover zuchini and tomatoes.. I just think that those oils fucked up the zuchini and tomatoes and made em really uneatable, so they are just sort of extra useless condiment.. sigh.. anyway the chicken itself taste nice the greasy part can be uncared for.. to make em feel less hotter, i tend to decrease the amount of red chili that should be used, but in the end, i feel like it’s almost isnt hot at all

Sambal Goreng Papai (Papai chilli sauce)

Yeah!! Prawn.. it’s so much a long time since i think i eat prawn.. And it’s using coconut milk.. And supposedly fern (pakis).. I dont know if its using the trunk or the leaf, but we dont buy pakis because it’s a bit rare, i’ve seen it in supermarket sometimes.. Tempe.. supposedly i dislike em because of the taste and texture, but i tend to just dare myself… hmm.. hmm.. They taste good, but cant eat too much of em.. I still have allergic feeling toward them.. oh well this meal is also nice, supposedly i should make the lemon/orange taste more promient using real lemon/lime/orange.. but i dont think that would be very indonesian.. This meal also doesnt taste really hot while i decrease the amount of red chilies for em..

Comment:

Once upon a time, i read about korean eating a food called Jjajangmen, from manhwa called Zippy Ziggy iirc.. such a unique name made me curious upon how it taste.. I found 2 brands from the supermarket, forgot the other one.. I tend to like this one the best.. This food has a flawed though, since it’s quiet soaked with water, it’s kinda too concentrated in the bottom, so using a plate is more reccomended from using a bowl..
